Responsibilities

Operate an industrial fork truck to move palletized materials between railcars, vans, flatbed trucks, and the warehouse
Use a vehicle-mounted computer to effectively manage inventories and accurately ship/receive materials
Operate packaging equipment (palletizer, stretch-film wrapper, labeler, and conveyors) used to stack and wrap materials prior to warehousing
Effectively communicate with counterparts and management during shift exchanges
Perform housekeeping to maintain acceptable standards
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Required

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Preferred

High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
Prior experience in production/warehouse-related work
Experience operating a forklift
Experience with SAP and/or warehouse inventory management systems
Knowledge of rail safety procedures
Basic experience in troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
