Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with our multimedia journalists and photojournalists to review, critique, and edit stories before they air on TV
Listen to story pitches, approve the most promising ones, and support our journalists as they shoot, write, and edit
Create compelling newscasts that keep our audience informed and connect viewers with the stories that matter
Qualification
Required
Experience: News or editing - 8+ years, Management - 5+ years
Education: Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Management, or related field, comparable television management work experience
Technical Skills: Programming knowledge and an understanding of the evolving digital media landscape
Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate relationships and motivate co-workers
Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes
Preferred
May be required to lift up to five pounds
