TEECOM is a consulting engineering firm focused on making technology work in buildings. The BIM Specialist will support the engineering team by learning the building design process and assisting in the production of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

Learn the building design process and the pursuit process

Participate in BIM-related forums and user groups to discover new techniques; identify upcoming changes within the AEC industry with regards to the evolution of BIM processes

Foster fellow design team member relationships

Assist in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation for a variety of projects

Assist with the production of accurate and detailed construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit for one or more disciplines

Assist with project production effort in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

Assist in project BIM coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering discipline BIM models

Assist with methods for electronic information transfer

Identify and recommend automation tools, scripts, or other 3rd-party software tools to reduce the production time

Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Support teams with workload and assist where needed

Ensure timesheets/expense reports are accurate and up-to-date daily

Achieve billed revenue target each quarter

Required

Learn the fundamentals of technology systems such as telecommunications infrastructure, cabling, audiovisual, security, acoustics, and wired and wireless networks

Participate in the TEECOMuniversity in-house training program, including Bridge courses and one-on-one or group sessions

Provide feedback on Revit trainings in Confluence/Bridge

Keep track of multiple projects and client and team member requests, often on a last-minute basis with excellent follow-up to assure promises are kept

Accurately and concisely capture discussions in the form of meeting notes

Document design decisions, whether made by external or internal sources

Maintain an accurate project record

Conduct business communications in an effective, professional, and concise manner, both verbally and in written formats, and in one-on-one, small-group, and large-group settings

Read, write, speak, compute, and problem-solve various tasks

Break down complex concepts into smaller and more digestible components that allow for a greater level of understanding by others

Work as a functional member of a team and successfully work with other teams and business functions to achieve positive results

Facilitate effective project team and cross-functional interactions (Technical, Operations, BD, Marketing, etc.)
