This role involves expanding the company's reach by identifying new business opportunities, deepening client relationships, and developing strategies to penetrate new markets while acting as a brand ambassador for VAA's vision and values.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets, lead generation, and proposal development

Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients to secure repeat business and foster a positive reputation

Represent VAA at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote VAA's services

Negotiate contracts, scope of work, proposals, and agreements with clients and subcontractors

Aid in the creation and review/approval of RFPs/SOQs

Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and client research to identify new opportunities for growth

Track and manage opportunities through the business development pipeline using CRM tools

Work with existing client leads to continue fostering a relationship of trust and communication

Collaborate with engineering, project management, and marketing teams to align business goals with operational capabilities

Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders including the BD team, PIC and Client Leadership Team

Mentor and develop BD team members, fostering growth and backfilling roles as needed

Act as a brand ambassador by conducting work in alignment with VAA's 2030 vision, values, and goals
