Responsibilities

You will define, plan, prepare for, guide and execute performance of the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions in support of refit maintenance and related activities for TRIDENT / Columbia submarines in a timely, effective, and an efficient manner
You will assign divisional work based on priorities, contributes significantly to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources, and be accountable for their effective use
You will develop/revise division level organizational structure, mission statement, and functional responsibilities, generation of division level directives, instructions, procedures and policies
You will represent the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions when attending COLUMBIA Class design conferences
You will use technical background and expertise to suggest design changes with the goal of reducing maintenance costs durations

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment

This is a Mission Essential position
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Experience serving as a Production Superintendent responsible for the organizational, supervision, direction, and resource management of the Mechanical/Electrical Division
Experience implementing programs to manage and control facilities and equipment under division cognizance
Experience defining, planning, preparing, guiding and executing the performance of the Machinery Division in support of refit maintenance and related activities for the submarines in a timely, effective, and efficient manner
Experience generating division-level directives, instructions, procedures, and policies
Experience addressing and resolving issues and problems associated with the tight time allowed for refitting each submarine
Experience analyzing divisional workload projections and requirements as defined by ship schedules, maintenance/LDS feedback, scheduled intermediate maintenance, modifications/installations, emergency reports, and other sources to define, schedule and properly plan operations
