Project Estimator

Confidential company is seeking a Project Estimator to support estimating and project-management activities while serving as a communication link among clients, suppliers, and internal teams. The role involves managing customer follow-ups, assisting with estimating tasks, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet expectations.

Responsibilities

Following up on quotes, presenting pricing, and engaging customers to help secure sales
Responding to client inquiries with clear, timely information and product/system knowledge
Entering time-sensitive orders and verifying project data in internal systems
Coordinating with suppliers to purchase and track materials
Supporting project planning and communicating with operational or production teams
Preparing documents such as orders, warranty materials, and close-out packages
Assisting with client visits and supporting sales activities
Ensuring accurate and timely communication with accounting to support billing
Training new team members and contributing to continuous improvement efforts
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

Experience in customer service, supplier coordination, and customer-facing communication
Hands-on experience estimating systems from CRL, Assa Abloy, Dorma, or comparable manufacturers
Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality
Associate degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience (experience with commercial hardware or architectural systems required)
Ability to sell products and proposals by clearly communicating value, building rapport, and helping ensure deals close
High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Outlook
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
Strong numerical skills (discounts, percentages, area calculations, etc.)
Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative team
Technologically advanced and able to quickly learn and adapt to new software, platforms, and digital workflows
Strong interpersonal and customer-relations abilities
