They are seeking a Senior Transportation Roadway Engineer to lead transportation design projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality and efficiency in roadway design for municipal and agency projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of transportation design plans and 3D models for ODOT and local agency roadway and municipal projects

Perform and review design calculations, including drainage design, quantities, maintenance of traffic, and pavement design

Prepare complete design packages, including special provisions, construction estimates, and bid documents for milestone submittals

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, supporting their professional growth

Collaborate across disciplines and support ODOT, LPA, and MDOT projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout design and delivery

Qualification

Professional Engineer (PE) licenseMicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD)Roadway design experienceAutoCAD Civil 3DODOTLPA design standardsProject coordination skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license required

10–15 years of roadway or transportation design experience

Proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD) required

Strong understanding of ODOT and LPA design standards

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
