Responsibilities

Implement the optimization of fabrication recipes for nanophotonic devices, leveraging state-of-the-art e-beam and direct-write lithography techniques across various substrates
Establish metrology monitors and statistical process control for lithography and other critical fabrication processes, ensuring precision and reliability
Modify designs and procedures based on feedback from our design and measurement teams
Work collaboratively within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, contributing to a shared vision of technological advancement

Required

Undergraduate Degree in physics, engineering or related field/discipline
1+ years of hands-on experience in the fabrication, design, simulation, and optimization of nanostructured devices, including expertise in lithography, dry and wet etching, annealing, chemical vapor deposition, and physical vapor deposition
Demonstrated experience with simulation tools for nanostructured device design (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, Flexcompute, or similar)
Proficiency in data processing, visualization, and organization
Familiarity with fabrication processes and design constraints for nanostructures
Employment with IonQ is contingent on either verifying 'U.S. Person' status for export controls and government contracts work, obtaining any necessary license, and/or confirming the availability of a license exception under U.S. export controls

Preferred

3+ years of dedicated experience in nanophotonics design and characterization
1+ years of industry experience
Experience designing, building, and using optical testing infrastructure, including automated testing systems
