Responsibilities

Verify the identity and point of contact of all visitors, ensuring compliance with facility access procedures
Issue and manage visitor and temporary employee badges, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas
Conduct routine patrols of all buildings, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure to detect and deter unauthorized activity
Observe, document, and report any suspicious behavior, security violations, or safety concerns to security management
Escort vendors and contractors as required, ensuring compliance with facility security protocols
Provide security assistance to other departments as needed, including support for special events or operational activities
Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation
Respond professionally to security-related inquiries, safety concerns, and emergency situations in accordance with company policies
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall security mission

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid California BSIS Guard Card or ability to obtain before employment
Two or more years of experience in security operations, preferably in an industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing environment
Must be available to work all required shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods across various terrains
Must be able to work in various climate conditions, including heat, wind, and cold

Preferred

Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor
Ability to de-escalate situations verbally and maintain composure under pressure
Prior BSIS or equivalent security training, such as de-escalation tactics, report writing, or defensive tactics
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise incident reports
Ability to work independently while following security procedures and protocols
