The Staff Infrastructure Engineer will lead the development of test infrastructure for manufacturing tests, drive design and development of major infrastructure components, and mentor a growing team of engineers.

Responsibilities
Direct and contribute to the development of a test framework to support all factory testing at Zoox manufacturing sites
Design and implement server infrastructure to support manufacturing test activities
Serve as the technical lead for best practices across areas such as database schema design, optimization, regression testing, and API design
Drive the development of common code libraries for test engineers, including coding standards, code coverage testing, and maintainability
Design and build dashboards for manufacturing data, including metrics such as throughput and tester utilization
Grow and mentor a talented team to meet the challenges of scaling
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, MS preferred
12+ years of industry experience
Deep background in Python programming (scripting, web services, tool development)
Experience with system design, including databases, web servers, and containerization (e.g., Docker)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, reproducible builds, deployment strategies, and supporting infrastructure
Experience deploying applications to cloud environments (AWS) and on-prem/bare-metal servers
Expert knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows
Preferred
Knowledge of orchestration technologies such as Ansible or Kubernetes; familiarity with Grafana
Shell scripting experience on Linux
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Python or JavaScript)
Industry certifications (AWS, containerization)
Knowledge of electronics manufacturing
