Responsibilities
Lead and optimize stock/mother plant production and cutting programs for Clematis
Supervise and mentor a team of junior growers
Collaborate closely with other supervisors and production teams
Monitor crop performance, health, and uniformity, adjusting strategies as needed
Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency and yield
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the growing team
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in Clematis stock plant and cutting production
Several years of professional experience in a nursery or greenhouse setting (this is not a junior role)
Strong technical knowledge of propagation, pest and disease management, and environmental controls
Confident leadership style with the ability to coach, support, and hold others accountable
A thoughtful balance between innovation and respect for established methods
Passion for plants and commitment to quality
