Quality Engineer I

The Quality Engineer I will support the production line by ensuring compliance with quality system processes and implementing improvement actions for complex electronic and software-based medical devices.

Responsibilities

Provide training and guidance to production lines for implementation of permanent or temporary changes

Support containment and disposition activities as directed

Consult with production lines and other floor personnel as needed to ensure clarity on inspection criteria and conformance decisions

Collaborate with a variety of engineering organizations as needed to facilitate communication to production lines and other floor personnel

Execute validation / qualification activities as directed

Support continuous improvement projects as directed

Ensure quality related escalations from the production lines are made in a timely manner when required

Required

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or scientific discipline

Experience in technical writing

High proficiency in use of standard electronic business tools: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and instructions, interpret device and part specifications, and execute validation / qualification activities

Passionate for change and continuous improvement and embodying a strong sense of urgency
