Responsibilities
Process Securities buy/sale and all related transactions including settlements, coupon reset and processing, corporate actions, security asset pledge/unpledged, fee processing, security market price upload, repo margin call and claim settlement
Handle Derivative daily operations, including Cleared Swaps, Credit default index (CDX), London Clearing House (LCH) Margin Call Operations, Rate Resets, Cross Currency Swaps, Agent Repos as well as Futures/Options operations
Perform Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) Check 21 operations
Investigate and reconcile transaction discrepancies. Resolve Security and Cash settlement and trade confirmation issues with Custodian and Brokers
Prepare and/or check daily monthly term-end reports for management and other groups
Prepare and/or check settlement instruction for both Security and Derivative transactions including SWIFT, Money transfer for various custodian, and prepare new and update SDI instructions independently
Streamline processes in line with the current market practice and participate in new product development and testing as required by management
Draft and update group’s policies and procedures
Apply record retention and record keeping on documents
Participate in cross-training to ensure adequate team coverage and backup
Provide support for internal audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance tasks
Document and improve processes in collaboration with technology and risk teams
Participate in special projects under team lead supervision
Maintain ongoing self-training activities through available information/resources on the internet, in the workplace, or other sources such as the press/news to assure optimal results on the job
Based on changes in the business work environment, job responsibilities can change, and removed accordingly. Additionally, this position will perform other duties as required, and participate in special projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by Management
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree
4–6 years of relevant experience
Security settlement and TMPG/CSDR practice knowledge (must have Fedwire, DTC, Euroclear settlement, pledge operations, corporate actions processing experience)
SWIFT knowledge for security settlement (Must have MT54x series, MT2xx knowledge)
Corporate Action Knowledge (Exchange Offer, Full/Partial Calls)
Team player with good communications and writing skills
Must be self-motivated, responsible, result-oriented, and flexibility in dealing with changing situations
Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook, Access, and Internet Explorer
Knowledge in custodian systems (e.g., Easyway, JPM Market, CitiVelocity), Markitwire
Preferred
Derivative operations knowledge (cleared swap, CDS, CDX operations, knowledge of ISDA Master and Dodd-Frank Acts are preferred.)
