Regulatory Analyst (II, III or Sr) (Rate Design & Cost of Service)

Responsibilities
Assists with the development of rate case positions on significant issues
Analyzes new FERC pronouncements, identifies potential effects on the company, devises and implements efficient solutions for compliance
Prepares and files tariff changes to meet the business needs of company partners
Assists in the development of responses to FERC and customer's data request
Collaborates with company partners to gather and review data for FERC certificate filings and reports and ensure they are consistent with business strategies and practices
Supports commercial and business development teams to evaluate new opportunities/services
Provides input into legal pleadings
Monitors FERC regulations, requirements, and industry trends pertaining to filings and compliance
Performs detailed cost-of-service studies, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to support rate proposals and regulatory strategies
Creates, evaluates, and recommends rate structures and tariff provisions; prepare and submit rate case filings, tariff changes, and compliance reports to FERC
Works with internal teams (Legal, Engineering, Commercial, Accounting, Scheduling, Gas Control) to gather data and develop comprehensive regulatory strategies
Monitors and analyzes transportation and storage agreements to maximize value, minimize costs, and support strategic planning for new and existing capacity offerings

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field and a minimum of six (6) months of experience in the energy or related industry
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the energy industry
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field and a minimum of four (4) years' interstate pipeline work experience
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Knowledge of FERC process and requirements
Familiarity with pipeline capacity management, contract analysis, and tariff development
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Preferred
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in interstate pipeline work
Direct experience in interstate regulatory area
Experience interpreting and modifying tariff language and commercial contracts
