The role involves representing clients in Planning Commission hearings, permit appeals, and litigation, while also engaging in high-profile impact litigation for pro-housing advocacy organizations.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in Planning Commission hearings, permit appeals, and litigation in state and federal courts
Engage in high-profile impact litigation against cities that deny housing development applications
Shape, test, and apply complex laws in new and creative ways to help clients succeed
Qualification
Required
0-10 years of experience
Excellent research and writing skills
Licensed to practice law in California
Preferred
Experience with litigation
Experience with land use entitlements
Experience with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Experience with state housing law
Cover letters are welcomed but not required
