Responsibilities
Drive system architecture enhancements, design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operation of components for VAS web and mobile based products and services
Work directly with product management and your team while analyzing and decomposing complex software requirements into simple user stories for planning and execution
Drive technical design of future application enhancements
Drives team commitments to successful delivery
Act as a positive role model for other engineers
Drives the adoption of standardized procedures and best practices within their team
Impacts their team through their own quality of the work, behavior and/or information shared
Provide exceptional and timely internal customer support
Motivates their team to be a high performing team by through their own quality of the work, behavior and/or information shared
Identify process improvements and help to implement them
Foster transparency & sharing of skills/expertise
Participate as a work-from-home member of the engineering team helping to develop the company's software applications, system integrations, and providing system support
Responsibilities will largely include working independently and as part of a team developing innovative solutions for our platform. Working with internal customers through all stages of analysis, design, coding, and testing of new products
Use Jira, Github and Confluence to manage daily work assignments
Contribute to the refactoring of existing code as necessary to strengthen our applications and minimize technical debt
Follow best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management
Align with annual goals to further advance software development skills and product/process knowledge
Attend relevant product meetings and meet with SMEs to share, request, or receive product or project information
Collaborate with your team to estimate the size and complexity of the features
Provide exceptional and timely customer support as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in software development and design
5+ .Net or Node hands-on development experience
5+ Front-end hands-on development experience using TypeScript and React
5+ ReactNative hands-on development experience using TypeScript
3+ years of experience using AWS solutions
Proficiency with source code management tools such as Git and GitHub
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous, prototyping environment
High level of innovation and engineering creativity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
