NEOGOV is seeking a Community Services Program Leader I for the City of Santa Fe Springs. This seasonal position involves supporting various programs and events in the Parks & Recreation Department, including planning and conducting activities for diverse age groups and assisting with facility rentals and general office duties.

Responsibilities

Provides support and assists with a variety of programs, projects, functions and events in the Parks & Recreation Department

Plans, develops, conducts and oversees a wide variety of activities for children, teens, adults and older adults/seniors including sports, contests, tournaments, games, arts & crafts, day camps, special events and programs

Assists with facility rentals, oversee and provide coverage to a variety of community services facilities which includes parks; set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment, for classes, activities, events and meetings

Assists in maintaining and cleaning facilities and/or parks

Assists with general office duties, including basic cashiering, answering phones, greeting patrons, typing, data entry, coping and filing

Assists with facility reservations, including phone and front counter contact, registering patrons for classes and programs, processing receipts and record keeping

Assists with coaching/instructing the basic and fundamental skills of football, basketball, volleyball and soccer

Assists patrons and other Parks & Recreation Department staff in routine and emergency situations including administering first aid

Attends staff meetings, trainings and workshops

Adhere to City and departmental policies and procedures

Performs related duties as required or assigned
