Conduct networking research in the context of this global CDN
Exploring opportunities for performance, resilience, and reliability optimizations
Further the understanding of how the infrastructure interacts with the Internet
Understand how clients are able to effectively connect to the CDN

Required

Currently pursuing a PhD degree at an accredited university in Computer Science or related field with focuses on networking, Internet Measurement, or Internet distributed systems, graduating in December 2026, Summer 2027 or later
To be intern-eligible, you must be returning to school for one semester or quarter post-Summer internship
A burning desire to solve real-world problems at scale
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, BGP)
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of statistical methods
Excellent software development skills, Comfortable with software engineering best practices (e.g. version control, testing, code review, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with CDN and content delivery architectures
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience with cloud computing platforms and large web-scale distributed systems
Open source contributions
Research publications at peer reviewed journals and conferences on relevant topics
