Responsibilities

Develop plastic snap fit design guidelines for Snap-fit components to eliminate fasteners. Utilizing different plastics and different loads of the snap-fit

Design a robust dual hinge door latch for refrigerators. Opening from RH or LH

Spend two weeks at a Dometic MFG site to understand assembly tolerances. Report design improvement to improve productivity

Required

Must be a current student or recent graduate of a university or college. Minimum of a rising sophomore level

Coursework related to the internship role in Engineering or Manufacturing

Rapid prototyping processes and 3D modeling

Solidworks modeling, model manipulation to show movement and component interactions

Design for Manufacturing

Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS office software, Solidworks, Ability to use calipers and micrometers, GD&T, and Mechanical aptitude

Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills
