Responsibilities
In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients
Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system
Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care
Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD
Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication
Responsibilities include direct patient care, administration of medication/vaccines, minor laboratory testing, communication with patients and providers using EMR
Qualification
Preferred
At least 6 months in direct nursing care preferred but not required
