Responsibilities

Drive observability platform strategy and governance for AWS workloads, on-prem servers, and network devices
Define standards for application logs, security monitoring, and alerting across hybrid environments
Build dashboards, monitors, and workflows for triage and SOC automation
Integrate observability tools with SIEM and lead security monitoring initiatives
Collaborate across teams to embed observability best practices in both cloud and datacenter architectures
Optimize platform usage and manage costs effectively, including AWS and on-prem resource monitoring

Required

Hands-on experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms
Strong AWS expertise: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and security best practices
Experience monitoring network devices and traditional datacenter infrastructure
Experience with SIEM platforms and SOC workflows
Automation scripting skills (Python, Terraform)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

AI/ML experience in observability
Compliance-driven environment exposure (SOX, SOC 2, PCI)
