Responsibilities

Lead implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Standardize clinical practice and reduce variation across ED locations
Drive throughput strategies for capacity management, admissions, discharges, and patient flow
Oversee nursing practice, department policies, and service standards
Promote consistent, high-quality patient experiences across multiple ED sites
Use patient feedback and performance metrics to drive improvement initiatives
Partner with patient experience leaders to implement service excellence practices
Build a culture grounded in engagement, accountability, and organizational values
Develop leaders, managers, and emerging talent within the ED structure
Implement team engagement and retention strategies
Ensure safe staffing models and workforce stability
Collaborate with executive leadership and physicians to expand emergency services
Identify growth opportunities, new programs, and competitive differentiation strategies
Monitor trends in healthcare, reimbursement, and market dynamics
Lead annual budget planning and monitor financial performance
Manage labor resources, productivity, staffing, and premium pay
Identify cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies
Oversee responsible utilization of supplies, equipment, and technology

Required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 3 years of recent leadership experience as an ED Director or ED Manager (large-volume ED strongly preferred)
Demonstrated success leading high-acuity, high-volume emergency services operations

Preferred

Master's degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related field)
Experience overseeing multiple ED locations or complex health system structures
Proven history of measurable performance improvement and operational results
