Develop scholarly research and professional activities both nationally and internationally
Make significant contributions to the teaching and service missions of the School and Faculty
Establish an internationally recognised research program in your field
Play a key role in maintaining and strengthening industry partnerships
Foster collaborations that drive impactful research and innovative advancements in thermo-mechanical engineering
Qualification
Required
PhD in an area of direct relevance, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, and Robotics Engineering
Demonstrated ability and track record in medical robotics, robotics for surgery, assistive technologies such as exoskeletons and service robots, and/or autonomous systems operating across air, ground, and water environments
Proven experience in translating research results into practical outcomes
Demonstrated capacity for development of alternative delivery models for teaching, including online and blended delivery
High level communication skills and the ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships
Willingness to undertake any compliance and supervisor training as required
Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures
Extensive experience in translating research results into practical outcomes
Demonstrated success in attracting research funding from governmental and/or industrial sectors
Demonstrated experience in supervising research students
Excellent level of communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff
