The A's are a baseball team with a rich history and a dynamic work culture. The Retail Associate will support retail operations for the Athletics main Team Shop and satellite locations, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products; ensure a pleasant and personalized shopping experience
Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and promotions
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally
Operate cash register or POS system accurately
Process sales, exchanges, and returns according to store policy
Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor, fitting rooms, and displays
Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly tagged and priced
Participate in team meetings, briefings, and store events
Follow all store policies, including loss prevention and cash handling
Report suspicious activity or security concerns immediately
Occasionally assist with inventory-related tasks, including stock counting, receiving shipments, and supporting inventory audits
Other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be willing and able to work the entirety of the Spring Training season, from March through April
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems (preferably Square)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math and computer skills (POS, cash handling)
Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Fast-paced retail environment requiring multitasking and teamwork

Preferred

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
