7+ years expWSP is currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager for their South Jordan office, focusing on projects based in Utah. The role involves conducting safety inspections, coordinating safety efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety training requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly on-site safety inspections
Provide the Engineer an opportunity to participate in these inspections
Coordinate safety related efforts with the on-site competent safety person
Provide specific project safety orientation
Attendance is required for Contractor, Subcontractors, and Department employees working on the project before beginning work at the project
Document attendance
Verify that on-site supervisors have completed and passed OSHA 10-hour Construction training or an OSHA 30-hour Construction training class regardless of company affiliation
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) related field or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of experience on transportation and large civil construction projects
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Valid Utah driver's license
