HUD - Lead Project Coordinator
Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is seeking a HUD-Lead Project Coordinator to make a significant impact on community health and safety through a lead abatement program. The role involves coordinating operations, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and providing leadership to various stakeholders to eliminate childhood lead poisoning.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate all activities of the Live Lead Safe Program
Provide leadership and direction to program staff, property owners, lead abatement contractors and parents to achieve the goals and objectives of the project
Ensure development and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Monitor grant contract progress, outcomes, and objectives in order to successfully meet grant benchmarks
Monitor program budget and understand appropriate use of grant funds
Develop and maintain program policies and procedures
Work with the outreach team to develop and maintain marketing and social media presence within the community
Participate in the hiring process of program staff
Conduct annual performance evaluations for each team member
Collaborate with internal programs and external partners
Ensure projects remain on track and are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with all program, State, and HUD rules and regulations
Provide support to program staff and guidance to property owners, tenants, and contractors
Adhere and comply with policies and procedures of the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding protected health information
Perform other work as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in environmental health, engineering, public health, urban planning or a closely related field
1+ years of supervisory experience
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Access to a vehicle with active automobile insurance for use in the performance of the job (mileage reimbursement provided)
Certification as a State of Wisconsin Lead Risk Assessor, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire; must be maintained throughout employment
Certification as State of Wisconsin Lead Abatement Supervisor, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire; must be maintained throughout employment
Preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate fluently with Spanish speaking clients is highly desirable
Experience with residential construction
Knowledge of lead-based paint hazard reduction activities and State of Wisconsin DHS 163 highly desirable
