Quality Engineer - Assembly
Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of luxury kitchen appliances known for craftsmanship and innovation. The Assembly Quality Engineer will support and improve the quality system within the Cedar Rapids facility, focusing on the setup and launch of new refrigeration assembly lines.

Responsibilities
Partner with Quality Manager and peers to establish a project plan for implementing quality systems at the facility that supports the overall project schedule
Problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools as appropriate
Development, maintenance, and review of key performance indicators
Research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging and or processes that improve product quality, consistency and performance
Review and update the quality system requirements for new or revised products, including review and measurement of key control characteristics (KCC) identification and documentation
Work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection
Support trial builds of product throughout the system, gathering feedback for evaluation
Work with dedicated cross-functional or NPD teams to establish quality continuous improvement plans and systems
Analyze failure rates, failure modes, and failure mechanisms to support robust product design
Build a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality, involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it
Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins
Empower individuals to take initiative, own their work areas, and lead improvement efforts that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Lead with integrity - modeling ethical decision-making and fostering a culture of trust and accountability

Qualification
Required
Experience in data mining and data analysis
Experience in process evaluation and continuous improvement methodology
Ability to facilitate continuous product and process improvements
Experience in problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools
Ability to develop, maintain, and review key performance indicators
Experience in reviewing and updating quality system requirements for new or revised products
Ability to work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection
Experience in analyzing failure rates, failure modes, and failure mechanisms to support robust product design
Ability to build a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality
Experience in promoting a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals
Ability to empower individuals to take initiative and lead improvement efforts
