SF LGBT Center 2026 Mural Artist
The SF LGBT Center is seeking artists for a hand-painted mural on the exterior wall of the Center. The project aims to highlight local LGBTQ+ history and create a living library of Queer ancestry through art that reflects inclusivity and the diverse Bay Area LGBTQ+ community.

Responsibilities
Submit an application that includes a resume, portfolio, and bio/artist statement
Submit a mural concept that shines a spotlight on local LGBTQ+ history
Incorporate QR code technology to create a living library of Queer ancestry
Create work that is conceptually, aesthetically, and technically compelling
Reflect the Center’s values and mission
Qualification
Required
Artists must submit an application that includes a resume, portfolio, and bio/artist statement
Artists must be professional mural artists living and producing art in San Francisco, California
Concept proposals should be centered in inclusivity and representative of the diverse Bay Area LGBTQ+ community
Selected finalists will be invited to submit a mural concept that shines a spotlight on local LGBTQ+ history and incorporates QR code technology
Preferred
LGBTQ+ muralists are encouraged to apply
BIPOC muralists are encouraged to apply
Trans, nonbinary, and women muralists are highly encouraged to apply
