Financial Reporting Accountant
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to perform professional accounting functions for various University special funds. The role involves ensuring the integrity and compliance of financial transactions, serving as a liaison with state budget offices, and contributing to financial statement preparation and reporting activities.

Responsibilities
Perform professional accounting functions for all University special funds, including bond funds, capital improvement funds, and other restricted funds
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all related financial transactions and records
Serve as the primary liaison with the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM), the Office of the State Controller (OSC), University Budget Officers, account custodians, and other units within the Division of Business and Finance
Interpret, apply, and implement policies and procedures established by the University, the State of North Carolina, and applicable federal agencies
Play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual closeout activities, including reconciliation and financial statement preparation for capital and special funds
Contribute to the completion of the University’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate's degree in Accounting; or Associate's degree in Business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
Preferred
Experience in higher education accounting is a plus
