Researcher - Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Faculty
The University of Kentucky is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in neurotrauma research at the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center. Candidates will focus on traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury, developing and sustaining an externally funded research program that complements the Center’s strengths in neurotrauma.

Responsibilities
Develop and sustain an externally funded research program that complements and enhances the Center’s strengths in neurotrauma
Conduct research focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) or spinal cord injury (SCI)
Engage in mechanistic or translational research in metabolism, autonomic systems, glia, inflammation, neural repair, plasticity, regeneration, chronic recovery, or post-traumatic epilepsy
Qualification
Required
Candidates must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree
Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and are expected to develop and sustain an externally funded research program that complements and enhances the Center's strengths in neurotrauma
Preferred
prior success with training or foundation awards (e.g., F30, F31, F32, AHA ) is desirable
