Supplier Quality Analyst - Castings

Eaton is a leading company in the Aerospace division, currently seeking a Supplier Quality Analyst - Castings for their Euclid, Ohio facility. This role focuses on the inspection of purchased castings and supporting supplier qualification processes to ensure quality standards are met for the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

Perform inspection of purchased castings at Eaton receiving inspection or supplier source inspection
Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements
Drive reductions in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Scrap and improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of purchased products
Support response to customer requested corrective action and support of customers regarding purchased materials
Support operations through timely disposition of supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing and requiring corrective actions to avoid recurrence
Support operations by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective action through DMRs to get full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions, and implementation and follow-up of corrective actions
Perform Supplier audits as necessary in accordance with Eaton’s requirements to approve new suppliers and help monitor existing suppliers
Report on supplier performance. Provide information to Quality Management in a professional and timely manner
Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements

Required

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
A minimum three (3) years' experience in a sand castings aluminum environment
Minimum one (1) year of quality inspection experience in a foundry/aluminum casting environment
This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred

Associate's degree in engineering
Aerospace Quality Management experience
Five (5) years of experience in a foundry/metal casting environment or providing quality oversight at foundries or casting machine shops
