Responsibilities
Process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment
Ensure accuracy of shipment contents and verify against packing lists or invoices
Prepare shipping documents (such as shipping labels, and customs forms) accurately and in a timely manner
Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to ensure scheduled pickups
Track and monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers as needed
Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness
Sort and distribute incoming/outgoing inventory to designated areas or departments
Maintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas
Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as necessary
Adhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet shipping and receiving deadlines
Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center
Familiarity with shipping software and systems
Basic knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and paperwork
Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds
Forklift Certified
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Additional vocational training or certifications in logistics or warehousing is a plus
