Responsibilities
Provide support for the analysis, documentation, testing, and implementation of new systems
Provide maintenance and support for existing systems
Act as a direct liaison with user, technical support, training, and operations personnel
Provide technical and administrative support to the department
Assist more senior level team members with project and support activities
Range from hardware support and build to imaging informatics application maintenance and troubleshooting to QC for data integrity as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Three (3) years of technical experience
On-the-job experience should be supplemented with continuing education gained through technical seminars and/or training courses
7 years of relevant clinical informatics or PACS administration experience may substitute for degree requirement
Must be self-directed / self-motivated
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
Must accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of one's own work
Must be able to work independently
Must recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality
Must convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief
Must relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation
Must communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background
Must exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare environment
Must perform effectively when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual or dangerous situations
Must demonstrate the quality work ethic of doing the right thing the right way
Must maintain a customer focus and strive to satisfy the customer's perceived needs
Preferred
Experience as a technical administrator for EMR, PACS, and dictation systems in a clinical setting
Experience with data reconciliation, applications testing, and end user training
