Responsibilities
Create high-quality production drawings in SolidWorks that drive fabrication
Work directly with Design, Estimating, Operations, and Production teams
Engineer real-world solutions for custom projects across sports and healthcare
Interpret design intent and turn it into manufacturable, accurate products
Make sure assemblies and components meet Shield’s high standards
Support BOM creation with precise, clean, organized data
Jump in with Production to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and keep jobs moving
Help ensure projects hit deadlines without sacrificing quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Manufacturing Engineering required
SolidWorks proficiency (student or professional experience)
Passion for building, making, engineering, or fabrication
Occasionally being on the Production floor, which could involve climbing, crouching, or lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Ability to talk and hear
Some travel may be required
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, furniture, cabinets, or casework
Exposure to CNC machining, CAM, shop workflows
Adobe Creative Suite familiarity
