Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of front-end and full-stack engineers; set coding standards, conduct reviews, and cultivate a high-performance culture
Architect and build Qwoted’s first mobile app (iOS & Android) using Capacitor
Rewrite and modernize our frontend web application, aligning it with the same technologies and UX patterns used in mobile
Work closely with our UX designers to deliver interfaces that are responsive, accessible, and delightful
Collaborate with backend engineers by consuming APIs, not building them
Push UX forward — animations, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance tuning

Required

Deep React expertise (5+ years)
Cross-platform mobile development experience, preferably with Capacitor
Strong grasp of modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Ability to turn designs into elegant, performant, accessible experiences
Experience working with UX designers to deliver consumer-quality interfaces
Independent, self-directed problem solver who can take high-level requirements and run with them
Proven history of leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and driving execution
The ability to produce impeccable code that requires very little review by our CTO
Experience building beautiful and performant apps that are available from the app store

Preferred

Experience with PWAs, push notifications, or real-time interfaces
Familiarity with Algolia, Storybook, or modern CSS patterns
