Responsibilities

Edit and manage weekly bulletins and parish-wide newsletters prepared by the bulletin secretary, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistent branding
Verify the accuracy of all event details, announcements, and schedules
Collaborate with parish staff and ministry leaders to align content with the parish mission and annual themes
Draft, edit, and distribute special parish-wide communications (e.g., holiday letters, stewardship appeals, and major announcements)
Monitor and manage the pastor’s parish email inbox to ensure timely and organized correspondence
Develop and implement a social media strategy that reflects parish values and enhances engagement
Create, schedule, and publish posts on parish social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Collaborate with volunteers, ministry groups, and staff to create and curate multimedia content
Monitor audience engagement and respond appropriately to comments or messages
Track and report on social media analytics to inform communication planning
Oversee content, structure, and visual presentation of the parish website to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Manage daily updates, upload new announcements, and maintain consistency in style and tone
Coordinate with IT or developers for maintenance, updates, and technical issues
Lead the selection and transition to a new website platform in 2026
Track and interpret web analytics to enhance reach and effectiveness
Manage and maintain the parish facility calendar, coordinating space usage for ministries and parish events
Oversee potential transition to new calendar software if needed
Resolve scheduling conflicts promptly and maintain communication with ministry leaders
