Middle Market Banking - Portfolio Manager II

Responsibilities

Support Middle Market Banking business development on the identification and calling of prospects and referrals on a national and regional basis
Coordinate calling efforts on identified prospects with Bank team partners
Manage profitable client relationships
Assist in cross-selling of the Bank’s lending, depository and treasury management products
Assist in the review and structuring of large complex transactions
Present deals to credit officers
Negotiate credit terms and legal documentation with clients and referrals
Lead underwriting on loan presentations
Ensure the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio
Deepen relationships of existing clients
Acquire new clients
Monitor operating performance of existing portfolio of clients
Review monthly/quarterly financial statements
Complete renewals, increases, annual reviews, watch loan reports, borrowing base reconciliations
Monitor client relationship for compliance with credit standards
Participate in community and business functions
Establish referral contacts within the community
Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of relevant experience in specialty or commercial banking
Related specialty banking or finance experience

Preferred

MBA or certification in the field
7+ years of relevant experience in specialty or commercial banking
Industry specific credit background
Moody's Risk Analyst experience
Completed formal credit training program
Strong communication, writing, and sales skills
