Responsibilities
Develop and sustain externally funded research programs
Publish high-impact scholarly work and participate in interdisciplinary research
Recruit, advise, and mentor Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. students
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses across the EECS curriculum
Contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service activities
Qualification
Required
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Evidence of (or strong potential for) scholarly excellence, competitive proposal development, and impactful research
Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student mentorship
Outstanding candidates who have completed all Ph.D. requirements except the dissertation (ABD) and who anticipate degree completion by the Fall 2026 semester may also be considered
For applicants seeking appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, substantial evidence of sustained research funding, academic leadership, and significant scholarly impact is expected
