Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and support end-user workstations and application installation

Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware, vSphere, Hyper V environments

Support and maintain Windows Server environments (2012 R2, 2016, 2019) including roles, features, and performance tuning

Support customer application stacks, including installation, updates, integrations, and environment troubleshooting

Perform system integrations and ensure data flows, dependencies, and services operate reliably

Create and maintain automation and scripts (PowerShell or equivalent) to streamline processes and reduce manual effort

Support cloud infrastructure components including VMs, network security rules, storage, and identity

Respond to, prioritize, and document support tickets; perform remote troubleshooting as needed

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to automate processes, enhance system performance, or improve documentation

Complete other related duties as assigned

Required

At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or technical support in a production or customer-facing environment

Demonstrated expertise in administering VMware, vSphere, Hyper-V

Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019)

Remote Desktop Services and/or Azure Virtual Desktop

Scripting and automation (PowerShell strongly preferred)

Cloud environments (Azure or AWS), including VM provisioning and network security concepts

Networking, WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, SDWAN

Fundamental understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls

M365 products and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive

Strong troubleshooting ability with a resourceful and solution-oriented mindset

Excellent communication skills and comfort interfacing with customers

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver exceptional service

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Working knowledge of networking concepts (routers, switches, firewalls)

Ability to document work clearly and maintain accurate records of tasks and system changes

Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion with persistence and urgency

Preferred

Experience supporting multi-site or distributed environments

CompTIA, Microsoft, or VMware certifications are a plus
