Responsibilities

Leverage scientific knowledge to support biological or biochemical research agendas

Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts

Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions

Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and mentor or supervise employees in both organization and technical competencies

Provide biological weapons effects subject matter expertise to client research and modeling and simulation (M&S) programs

Apply biological weapons effects knowledge to support client biological technology effects, detection, and forensic research programs

Support various multi-INT teams conducting hard target deconstruction, preparing technical collection concepts, developing R&D requirements, and preparing technical collection research reports

Required

11+ years of experience conducting systems engineering or research developing and advancing physics-based models for atmospheric transport or biological weapons effects

11+ years of experience with engineering research, reverse engineering analysis or characterizations, and facility and vulnerability assessments on foreign biological capabilities

Experience with systems engineering approaches to biological weapons effects

Ability to evaluate all project aspects, including design, development, execution, and implementation of chemical and biological research

Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or Epidemiology
