Scoular is a company specializing in raw meat processing and packaging solutions for pet food manufacturers. They are seeking a Team Leader who will lead hourly team members in various functional areas, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while overseeing production processes and training new staff.

Responsibilities

Work safely, complying with all safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and proactively identify and report potential safety hazards so they can be corrected

Assign and modify staffing and job assignments based on sick calls and last-minute production needs

Notify supervisor of any policy violations or safety violations. Conduct initial reports on safety and production issues

Operate all equipment as outlined in SOP, conduct set up and break down of equipment as required. Notify maintenance of mechanical problems and assist with basic troubleshooting

Serve as safety representative on assigned shift, reporting all safety concerns or issues to supervisors and managers

Meet or exceed daily production or department standards set by supervisors or team

Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area

Required

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Able to read, write and speak English fluently

Computer skills--the ability to learn company‐specific programs

Ability to enter production data into a computer terminal

Able & willing to work all shifts/schedules as needed including overtime

Lift to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively throughout a 10 - 12-hour shift
