Client consultation: They meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for the outdoor space
Design development: They create design plans, using a blend of creativity and technical skills. This involves preparing conceptual sketches, detailed construction documents, and specifications. Designs through hand sketches or computer-aided design (CAD)
Aesthetic and functional planning: They balance visual appeal with practicality, ensuring the final design is both beautiful and meets the client's functional needs

Required

An associate or bachelor's degree in hardscape design
Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas to clients and work alongside various professionals
Precision in measurements, planning, and documentation to ensure accuracy during installation
