Responsibilities

Develop and maintain server-side logic using modern backend technologies (PHP, Python, Golang, Node.js)
Build and support RESTful APIs and other services required for frontend applications
Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and resolve integration issues
Research, prototype, and implement solutions using AI/LLM technologies for tasks such as code generation, data analysis, and process automation
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code within a production environment
Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing best practices and coding standards

Required

5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining applications in a production environment
Strong proficiency with at least one modern backend language (e.g., PHP, Python, Golang, Node.js)
Experience supporting frontend development needs with a solid understanding of JavaScript and how backend services interact with the client-side
A proven track record of architecting solutions, not just implementing them
Must be based in the Austin, TX area and available for occasional on-site collaboration

Preferred

Hands-on experience with AI-powered code generation tools like GitHub Copilot, Firebase Genkit, or Amazon CodeWhisperer
Experience working with large language models (LLMs) via APIs
Prior experience developing for or working with WordPress environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
