Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates and nonprofits
Conduct tax research and planning to identify opportunities that minimize client tax liabilities
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement internal tax policies, quality control procedures, and ensure compliance
Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting teams to ensure alignment of financial data used in tax returns
Review financial records, income statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations
Review junior staff work and provide mentorship on complex tax matters

Qualification

Active CPA licenseTax preparation experienceTax software proficiencyExcel skillsQuickBooks OnlineTax research skillsBookkeeping understandingMentorship skills

Required

Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification
Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
6+ years of experience in tax preparation and review
Proficient with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Drake, Lacerte, or ProSeries
Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online
Solid bookkeeping and financial statement understanding
