Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions varying by location
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior
Assist law enforcement personnel and other emergency responders as needed during incidents on site
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols
Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity
Carry and maintain assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience
Possess a Corrections Officer License
Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
