Responsibilities

Coordinate organ recovery and preservation procedures with Transplant Coordinators, Donor Hospital OR staff, and Organ Recovery Team(s)

Participate in organ donor recoveries that require traveling to donor hospitals by aircraft and arrive at the donor hospital on time for the organ recovery

Provide appropriate equipment, solutions, and pre-operative supplies for recovery and preservation of solid organs in local donor hospitals and during “fly outs.”

Perform surgical/OR techniques during organ recovery as they relate to organ preservation

Maintain organ preservation lab and restocks equipment, supplies, solutions, and other inventory as needed

Perform machine pulsatile organ preservation techniques as directed
