IT Workplace Specialist

Responsibilities
Actively monitor the organizations Enterprise systems
Assist support team - level 2 support (Service Now)
Perform functions including resetting passwords, troubleshooting client software / hardware issues, and following senior team member instructions as necessary
Utilizing a wide range of tools to actively monitoring Wide Area Network connections, fax solutions, and telecommunications to all the organization’s locations
Develop and maintain an IT Support Knowledge base that can be used to research historical information related to support tasks
Perform a trend analysis on historical support information to find ways for preventing future occurrences
Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for IT users
Perform follow-up to ensure a high level of satisfaction
Work to meet service level agreements. Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding IT related problems
Maintenance and troubleshooting on servers, workstations, virtual machines and infrastructure
Coordinate activities with other IT resources as necessary to support end-user operations in a 24x7 environment
Good understanding of company security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
Maintain IT Asset Inventory database for hardware and software
Assist in the development of annual goals and meet all training targets as specified in GPS
Work directly with the Divisional IT and Global IT to lead, coordinate, and implement key process improvements for all environments throughout the organization
Other reasonably related duties as assigned
Up to 15% travel
Hybrid role. Work from home up to 2 days a week based on business needs
Running and manage local and/or North America projects related to IT infrastructure
Be part of regular meetings with IT colleagues in local infrastructure team
Documentation of procedures and solutions and local infrastructure
Take initiative and implement optimizations of business processes
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a multi-tiered global IT environment
A minimum of 2–5 years' experience in an IT support role providing desk side service and working with remote end users at branch offices or via VPN connections
Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Able to conduct research into complex issues and products as required
Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language
Excellent Customer Service skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications; OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Applications and Windows Operating Systems
Knowledge of working in an ITIL Based Service Desk
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Technologies preferred, or three to five years equivalent work experience
Willingness to pursue at least one (1) certification relevant to current systems environment
