Senior Manager, Cyber Solutions Architect (Remote)

Responsibilities
Lead the development of secure-by-design architecture for major initiatives aligned with business goals, risk posture, and compliance standards
Author and review key architecture artifacts including Architecture Overview Documents, reference patterns, threat models, risk analysis, and secure solution frameworks
Translate security requirements into actionable architecture strategies across cloud, application, and infrastructure domains
Influence early-stage solution shaping and MVP strategy, aligning architecture to enterprise standards, reusable patterns, and digital priorities
Partner with project and agile teams to ensure secure architectures are implemented effectively
Contribute to architecture governance processes including gated lifecycle program management processes, risk management framework, Agile planning, business prioritization, and compliance review processes
Provide technical mentorship and informal leadership across a matrixed team of solution architects and engineers
Support continuous improvement of architecture processes, performance metrics, and reusable design frameworks
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 7 years experience
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, solution architecture, or digital technology roles
3+ years leading architecture for enterprise-scale or business-critical programs
7+ years in secure system design, cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure), and enterprise integration
Knowledge of networking and connectivity fundamentals (e.g., secure protocols, firewalling, routing, ingress/egress controls)
Experience applying security frameworks such as NIST 800-171/53, CMMC, CIS Critical Controls, or international standards such as ISO 27001
Experience with agile or DevSecOps delivery models, including participation in planning and refinement activities with product teams
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, manufacturing, critical infrastructure)
Strong working knowledge of cloud-native security, identity & access management, and serverless or API-driven architectures
Hands-on experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CIAM, or cloud security tooling (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma, Defender for Cloud)
Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DODAF) and architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA)
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar agile collaboration tools
Certifications such as CISSP, Cloud Security Architect, TOGAF, or SAFe Agilist
