Data Entry Coordinator

University Radiology is the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists. The Data Entry Coordinator will ensure all Burks pre-authorization requests are up to date and accurately prepared for electronic submission, while also performing various supportive tasks within the team.

Responsibilities

Contributes to team effort. This includes performing other related tasks as needed
Enters authorization requests received from referring providers for Burks clients
Scans all received documents into MI and shares drive
Inputs information from referring physician’s offices to Burks online portal to process authorization requests
Communicates with referring physicians offices for information needed to complete authorization requests, provides feedback on status on an authorization if required
Inputs patient data and authorization information into MI
Follows up on all Burks email communications regarding status of authorizations
Coordinates with Central Scheduling and URG offices in order to confirm the ability to schedule patient exams
Ensure charge entry is current and up to date
Maintains job performance standards consistent with established metrics
Confirms insurance eligibility of patient and follows up as necessary

Required

Must be detail oriented
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high volume, fast paced work environment
Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain a professional and positive work environment

Consistently can be counted on to do whatever the 'team' needs
Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships throughout URG
2+ years experience in data entry
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9/10 codes and medical terminology
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time management skills
