Manufacturing Test Engineer, Optics
Arycs Technologies is a fast-paced startup looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Test Engineer, Optics who is eager to learn and make an impact. The role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining automated test infrastructure for optical modules, collaborating with experienced engineers, and executing tests using various lab instruments.
Responsibilities
Write and maintain Python-based code to automate test flows, control lab instruments, and log test results at scale
Set up and run optical/electrical tests using tools like BERTs, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
Assist in analyzing test data to identify trends, troubleshoot failures, and improve product and process reliability
Help build internal resources such as test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding docs for smooth scaling
Work closely with hardware, firmware, and operations teams to ensure alignment between test systems and production goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
Strong Python programming skills, particularly for test automation, data processing, or hardware interfacing
Familiarity with lab instruments like BERTs, power meters, and oscilloscopes
A curious, hands-on mindset and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
Clear communication skills with a collaborative approach—ask clarifying questions and contribute to team discussions
Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally as needed for project support and test process rollout
